Our growing partnership with Cartwright has helped to strengthen both our companies’ positions as the go-to place for wheelchair accessible vehicles (WAVs), welfare vehicles and a whole host of other conversions across the Ford range.
We first partnered up with Cartwright three years ago to make the dream of lifelong Hull FC supporter, Wes Trowell, come true. Together we created a custom-built WAV which gave him the freedom to follow his team across the globe.
As well as modifying a high-roof Ford Transit Custom with an automatically fixed platform lift and fitting power chair restraints, several ‘special’ alterations were made. This included a custom paint job in the Hull FC colours and autographs from the whole team.
Since that first collaboration, our relationship with Cartwright has continued to grow as we strive to improve vehicle accessibility for everyone. With extensive knowledge and expertise in bodybuilding alterations, Cartwright was a natural choice to expand upon our current Motability offering.

What Is the Motability Scheme?
The Motability scheme was designed to allow people to exchange their mobility allowance to lease a new car, to enhance their overall mobility.
Accessing a Motability car couldn’t be easier, simply:
- Pick a car from our qualifying Motability car range. We offer Motability cars from all 20 leading car manufacturers.
- Opt for the adaptations you require, many of the most popular adaptations can be made completely free of charge.
- Payments for the car are then deducted directly from your higher rate mobility allowance every four weeks. If the car you choose is less than the full mobility rate, you will still receive the remaining amount which you can use however you wish. However, if the car costs more than your Mobility rate you may be required to put down a small amount upfront.
At Stoneacre, we have fully-trained Motability specialists who can offer clear and concise information on differing Motability financing options to help make it easier to find the right solution for your budget. On top of that, Stoneacre is fully committed to helping users find the right vehicle with the right adaptations for their specific needs. Get in touch to find out more.
